Alyssa Jones, a freshman at Comal Smithson Valley in Texas, placed second in the girls long jump final with a wind-legal personal-best 19-11 (6.07m) in the third round at Nike Outdoor Nationals at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Jones also contributed to a third-place finish in the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay final in 4:02.31.
